This workshop will provide an overview of the legal parameters for use of social media related to school athletics. It will include information regarding the rules for school sanctioned postings by the athletic director, coaches and/or student athletes. It will also include legal guidelines for responding to personal posts by individual student athletes and coaches on their own time outside of school hours. Strategies for responding to social media posts by parents will also be reviewed. Positive examples of appropriate use of social media will also be provided.
