TEACHNJ has rewritten the rules on tenure and evaluation, and there is an emerging body of case law on what constitutes a legally defensible corrective action plan (CAP), as well as other aspects of progressive supervision (PS) that are now expected. This workshop will provide participants with concrete strategies & templates to use in addressing staff members proactively through PS, in order to reduce the need to impose CAPs. Participants will learn how to have necessary discussions with staff members about areas in need of improvement. Participants will also learn about the essential elements of CAPs and the necessary steps to take to follow through on implementation.
