This course is intended to provide you with a clear understanding of critical aspects of state & federal law related to meeting the needs of students with disabilities. It includes an overview of key aspects of the IDEA, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and other state & federal requirements that impact on the rights of student with disabilities.
It is organized into 3 parts:Part 1 provides an overview of key aspects of special education law.Part 2 provides an overview of key elements related to addressing student discipline for students with disabilities.Part 3 provides an overview of Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973.
